Kilic Engineering recognises that protection of the environment is an extremely important aspect within the company’s operations and a necessary element of good corporate citizenship.
Recycling is processing used materials (waste) into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from land filling) by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to virgin production. Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" waste hierarchy.
At Kilic Engineering every employee works together to reduce our companies carbon footprint by recycling as much material as possible. Over time we have reduced our municipal solid and liquid waste output considerably. Every day off cuts and steel waste from the factory floor and our installation sites is sent to collection areas within our yard, awaiting transportation to recycling yards. The liquid waste is collected in secure storage vessels and transported to a professional liquid waste company for disposal. The office staff and management also do there part by collecting all paper and cardboard material for recycling.
